IT Services for Nonprofits

Every dollar spent on technology is a dollar not spent on the mission. That does not mean spending nothing, it means spending deliberately.

What we see in nonprofits

Lean staff, wide responsibilities

The person handling technology is usually also handling three other things, none of which are technology.

Donor data deserves real protection

You hold personal and financial information belonging to people who chose to trust you, and that trust is the organization's actual asset.

Funding is restricted and periodic

Capital arrives in grants with conditions attached, on a timetable that has nothing to do with when equipment fails.

Volunteers and turnover

People come and go more often than in a business, and access has to keep up with that.

How we approach it

We make sure you are getting the nonprofit pricing you are entitled to. Microsoft and most major vendors offer substantial discounts and grants, and a surprising number of organizations are paying commercial rates without knowing it.

We size the solution to a lean staff. Something nobody has time to administer is not a solution, whatever it does.

We plan replacements against your funding cycle rather than against ours, so a request can be written while there is still time to write it.

The short version

Nonprofit licensing, donor data protection, and getting the most from a small technology budget.

In their words

Tech Dynamix is the company we call for all our computer needs and have done so for more than 10 years. From updating our whole in-office network to servicing our needs with anything from a glitch to a major "infestation," they get the job done right! The service we receive is excellent. They are so knowledgeable about technology and their solutions always work.

Common questions

Do you offer nonprofit pricing?

The larger saving is usually not our fee but your licensing. Microsoft and most major vendors offer nonprofit grants and discounts that many organizations are not claiming. We check that first, because it is often worth more than anything we could discount.

We have almost no technology budget. Is this worth a conversation?

Yes, and we will be straight with you about it. Sometimes the answer is that you need three specific things fixed and not a full agreement. We would rather tell you that than sell you something you cannot sustain.

Can you help with a grant application?

We can give you the technical detail and the costs, which is usually the part that holds up a submission. The application itself is yours, and you know your funders better than we do.
