From there we design what you actually need. That means sizing for the work you do, separating the traffic that should be separated, and building in the redundancy your operation justifies rather than the redundancy a brochure suggests.

Then we support it. Monitoring on the equipment, firmware kept current, configurations backed up, and a documented change process, so a network change on a Friday is a routine event rather than a gamble.

Segmentation is where compliance and good practice meet

If you take card payments, hold regulated data, or run equipment on the plant floor, a flat network is a problem in more than one direction. Separating traffic limits how far a problem can travel and is frequently the specific thing an assessor or an insurer asks about.

Common questions

How is this priced?

Design and installation are quoted as a project, from what the survey finds rather than from a guess over the phone. Hardware is quoted at what it costs us plus a stated margin.

Ongoing monitoring and management is a monthly figure per managed device, and it is optional.

Do we have to replace all our equipment?

Rarely. Some of it will be current, some will be out of support, and some will be fine for another two years. You get the list, sorted by what we would do first and why, and you decide the order.

Can you work with our internet provider?

Yes, and we prefer to. Dealing with the circuit provider is part of the job. It is also the part clients most often tell us they are glad to hand over.

What about equipment on the plant floor?

That equipment usually has different rules: it cannot be patched on a normal schedule, it may run software the manufacturer froze years ago, and it cannot go offline mid-shift. We design around those constraints rather than pretending they are not there.
