Construction

IT Services for Construction

Half your business happens somewhere that did not exist last year and will not exist next year. The technology has to move at the same speed.

What we see in construction

The job site is temporary

A trailer needs connectivity quickly, for a defined period, and then it needs to go somewhere else.

Plans have to reach the field

A revision that stays in the office is worse than no revision, because somebody is building from the old one.

Equipment lives a hard life

Dust, temperature, and handling that office hardware would not survive a week of.

The office and the field drift apart

Approvals, change orders, and photographs pile up on somebody's phone until the end of the week.

How we approach it

We make site setup repeatable, so connecting a new trailer is a known process with a known cost rather than an improvisation.

We put current documents where the field can reach them from a phone or a tablet, which is the only version control that survives contact with a job site.

We specify equipment for the environment it will actually live in.

The short version

Job site connectivity, mobile access to plans, and equipment that survives a real work environment.

Common questions

How fast can you get a job site connected?

It depends mostly on what is available at the location, which is the part outside anybody's control. Where a wired circuit would take too long, wireless options usually get you working sooner. Tell us the site and the date and we will tell you what is realistic.

Can the field reach plans without a laptop?

Yes. Phone and tablet access to current documents is standard, and it is usually the change that gets noticed most.

What happens when a job ends?

The site equipment comes back, gets checked, and goes out to the next one. Making that a routine is what keeps the cost per site down.
