We specify cameras for the coverage you actually need and put them where they will see something useful. Coverage is a design question, not a quantity question, and more cameras pointed badly is not an answer.
The system is monitored the same way the rest of your technology is, so a camera that stops recording is noticed rather than discovered months later.
Retention is set to how far back you might realistically need to look, and we will tell you what that costs in storage rather than quoting a number that sounds good.

Can you use the cameras we already have?
Sometimes. It depends on age, on whether the manufacturer still supports them, and on whether they are recording anything usable. We will look before recommending replacement.
How long is footage kept?
You choose, and it is a trade between storage cost and how far back you might need. Most clients land between 30 and 90 days. Some industries have a requirement that decides it.
