Cloud Migration
A migration is judged on one thing: whether your business kept working through it.
We plan around how your business actually runs. Mail, files, and the applications you depend on move in an order that keeps you operating, and we tell you in advance which weekend is going to be inconvenient.
Before anything moves we document what you have and what depends on it. Migrations go wrong at the joins, on the line-of-business application nobody mentioned that reads a file share by its old path.
Not everything should move. An application that runs badly over the internet, or equipment that has to sit beside the machine it controls, belongs where it is, and we will say so rather than selling you a cloud everything plan.
What this covers
- A documented plan with dates, before anything moves.
- Mail, files, and application data migrated with their permissions intact.
- Cutover scheduled outside working hours, with a written fallback.
- Support on the first working day after, when the real questions arrive.
- An honest recommendation about what should stay where it is.
Common questions
How long does a migration take?
For a company of about 30 people, usually a few weeks of preparation and one weekend of cutover. More data, more applications, and more integrations all extend it. You get a plan with dates before anything happens.
What if something goes wrong mid migration?
Every step that carries risk has a written fallback agreed before we start. We will also tell you honestly which steps those are, rather than presenting the whole thing as risk free.
