CMMC usually arrives through a prime contractor rather than a regulator. The requirement is real, and the deadline belongs to somebody else.
The first conversation is about scope, because scope drives the cost of everything after it. What you actually handle, and where it lives, decides whether this is a contained project or an enterprise one. Getting it wrong is the most expensive mistake available here.
We assess against the practices that apply to you, control by control, and give you a plain reading: what is in place, what is partly in place, and what is not. Then a plan of action with an owner and an order, because the gaps depend on each other.
Then we do the work and keep the evidence current, so an assessment is a matter of producing the record rather than reconstructing it.

Common questions
Can you certify us?
No, and nobody who prepares you should also assess you. Certification comes from an authorized third-party assessor. We get you ready and support you through it, and keeping those roles separate is what protects the value of the certificate.
How long does this take?
The assessment is usually a few weeks. Remediation runs from a couple of months to considerably longer depending on scope. You will get a realistic timeline rather than an encouraging one.
