Door Access Control
Physical keys are hard to track and expensive to replace. Electronic access control uses credentials you can grant and revoke from one system.
When someone leaves, their access ends that afternoon, without changing a lock or waiting for a key to come back. You also get a record of who opened which door and when, which matters when you investigate an incident and is a requirement in several industries.
We don't put a reader on every door by default. Exterior doors, the server room, rooms holding regulated material and stockrooms with valuable inventory are the usual starting points, and we walk the building with you to decide.
Door events link to your security cameras, so an event has footage attached, and remote site monitoring lets you review the log from your phone. Do we need this on every door?
Almost never. Exterior doors and the server room are the common starting point, along with rooms holding regulated material or valuable stock.
What happens in a power outage?
That's a design decision made in line with fire code. Depending on the door, it either fails secure or fails safe, and we work through each one with you so the installer's default doesn't decide it.
