Scanners that drop their connection between aisles create a data problem that surfaces later, somewhere else.
Industrial spaces are their own discipline. Racking moves, stock height changes weekly, and a forklift is a large moving object that absorbs signal. Office-grade wireless does not survive it.
Handhelds also have to roam between access points without dropping mid-scan. That is a design decision about how the network hands a device over, not something that happens on its own, and it is the single most common cause of the problems we get called about.
We survey loaded rather than empty, because empty is not the condition your business operates in.

Common questions
Our scanners drop constantly. Is that the scanners?
Usually not. It is usually roaming: the device is holding onto a distant access point instead of moving to a nearer one, because the network was never designed to hand it over. That is fixable and it is a design change rather than new hardware.
Can you cover an outdoor yard?
Yes. Outdoor coverage uses different equipment and mounting, and weather and distance change the design, but it is routine work.
