Managed IT Services in Mentor, OH

Mentor is where a lot of Northeast Ohio actually makes things, and a manufacturer's network is not an office network with machines added to it.

What we see in Mentor

Two networks in one building

The front office runs mail, accounting, and quoting. The plant runs machines, some of them older than the people operating them. They need to be separated, and the separation has to survive somebody plugging a laptop into the wrong port.

Shift work does not stop for maintenance

A first shift starting at six changes when patching happens and when a switch can be swapped. We schedule around production rather than around our own convenience.

Buildings with office and plant under one roof

Cabling that leaves the carpet and crosses the shop floor has different requirements. Heat, dust, forklift traffic, and distances a normal office run never sees.

Customers who audit you

Manufacturing work increasingly arrives with a security questionnaire attached from the company placing the order. We answer those with you and fix what the answers reveal.

Why this matters

We are ten minutes away, which is why a machine that will not talk to the network at seven in the morning is a visit rather than a ticket that waits.

Getting to you

Most of what we do never requires a visit. Monitoring, patching, the help desk, and the majority of problems are handled remotely, which gets you working again sooner than waiting for a vehicle would.

When something genuinely needs hands, an installation, a hardware failure, a site survey, it goes on the schedule with a person attached to it. Mentor and Lake County are inside the area we cover on site.

Common questions

Do you work with machine and control systems?

We handle the network they sit on, the segmentation that keeps them away from the office, and the backup of whatever runs them. The machine itself belongs to the vendor who built it, and we will work alongside them rather than pretending otherwise.

Can you be here quickly?

Our main office is in the next town. We do not publish a response time, because being reachable and being finished are different claims, but distance is not the thing standing between us and your building.

We have one person who handles IT here. Where does that leave them?

Better off, usually. We take the monitoring, the patching, and the after-hours calls, and they get to spend their time on the plant rather than on password resets. That arrangement has its own page under How We Help.
